Terms & Conditions

Effective October 3, 2026

Welcome to The Queens Web. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of thequeensweb.com and the information, resources, products, and services presented through this website. By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions as they apply to your use of the site.

1. About The Queens Web

The Queens Web provides website development, digital platforms and web applications, migration and rebuild services, website updates and technical assistance, template customization, Website Care, Platform Care, hosting management, infrastructure management, and related digital services. The availability, scope, pricing, and requirements of individual services may change over time.

2. Website Use

You may use this website to learn about The Queens Web, review services and portfolio work, submit an inquiry, contact us, purchase available products or services, and access other features made available through the site.

You may not interfere with the website or its security, attempt to access restricted areas or systems without authorization, misuse forms, submit fraudulent or unlawful content, scrape or reproduce website content at scale without authorization, introduce malicious code, or use the website for any unlawful purpose.

3. Service Information and Pricing

Prices displayed on the website may represent starting prices and are not a guarantee of the final cost of a project. Final pricing may vary based on project scope, functionality, integrations, content requirements, infrastructure, customization, timeline, and other project-specific needs.

Submitting an inquiry, scheduling a consultation, exchanging messages, or receiving preliminary information does not create a client relationship or reserve project availability. A project becomes subject to the specific proposal, agreement, invoice, or other written terms issued for that engagement.

4. Project-Specific Agreements

Custom website development, digital platforms, web applications, content management systems, migration and rebuild work, website updates and technical assistance, template customization, Website Care, Platform Care, hosting management, infrastructure management, and other paid services may be governed by additional written terms.

When a signed agreement, accepted proposal, invoice terms, license, or other project-specific terms conflict with these general website Terms & Conditions, the project-specific terms control for that service. Project scope, deliverables, payment schedules, revisions, timelines, ownership, maintenance requirements, cancellation rights, third-party costs, and other obligations may vary by project.

5. Client-Owned Hosting and Third-Party Costs

Websites and digital platforms are generally deployed through cloud infrastructure owned by the client. Your project proposal will identify the hosting provider, the services expected to be used, and any anticipated third-party costs before development begins. Clients are generally responsible for maintaining ownership of and direct payment for domains, hosting accounts, cloud infrastructure, storage, databases, and other third-party services required for their project.

Third-party providers control their own pricing, free allowances, limits, features, availability, and terms, and The Queens Web cannot guarantee these will stay the same. A project that initially operates within a provider's free allowance may later require a paid plan or incur usage-based charges as traffic, storage, or activity grows. Third-party costs are separate from fees paid to The Queens Web unless a written agreement states otherwise, and The Queens Web will not intentionally add a paid third-party service to a client's account without discussing it first, except where otherwise authorized in writing.

6. Hosting and Infrastructure Management

Website Care may include hosting management for eligible websites - such as deployment, hosting and DNS configuration, SSL/HTTPS, availability, performance and security settings, and deployment troubleshooting. Platform Care may include broader infrastructure management for custom digital platforms - such as serverless functions and backend services, databases, file and media storage, authentication, APIs, application secrets, database migrations, recovery procedures, monitoring, and integrations.

Hosting or infrastructure management does not mean that The Queens Web owns or resells the client's accounts. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the client remains responsible for the underlying accounts and any charges billed directly by the provider. Client ownership of an account does not mean that ongoing management, maintenance, troubleshooting, or monitoring is included indefinitely.

7. Website Care and Platform Care

Website Care and Platform Care are ongoing services separate from the original development project unless expressly included in the project agreement. Website Care is generally intended for websites and may include hosting management, monitoring, technical maintenance, content assistance, and troubleshooting. Platform Care is intended for custom digital platforms and may include infrastructure management, application maintenance, database and storage oversight, monitoring, integrations, and recovery readiness. Coverage is limited to the services stated in the applicable plan or agreement. Custom digital platforms require ongoing Platform Care while The Queens Web is responsible for their ongoing technical management, as stated in the applicable project agreement.

Ending a care plan does not automatically take a client-owned website or platform offline. When care ends, The Queens Web's active monitoring and maintenance responsibilities conclude at the end of the paid service period, and the client's third-party accounts remain subject to the client's relationship with those providers. If Platform Care ends for a custom digital platform, the client is responsible for arranging continued technical management with another qualified provider. Future work may be separately quoted and subject to availability. Where applicable, The Queens Web will provide agreed offboarding or handoff information and remove its access after the transition is complete.

8. Content Management Systems

Depending on the project, The Queens Web may develop a lightweight custom content management system, configure or integrate a third-party system, provide a custom administration interface, or use another content-management approach appropriate for the project. If a third-party content-management provider changes its pricing, features, limits, or availability, an upgrade, migration, or other work may be required and may be separately quoted unless included in an active service agreement.

9. Templates and Digital Products

Website templates, design resources, digital downloads, and other digital products may be subject to separate license terms. Purchasing a digital product does not transfer ownership of The Queens Web's underlying intellectual property unless expressly stated in writing. Buyers may only use, modify, distribute, or resell digital products as permitted by the applicable license. Template customization purchased from The Queens Web is a separate service from the underlying template license.

10. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise identified, The Queens Web owns or has the right to use the original website design, copy, branding, graphics, and other materials appearing on thequeensweb.com. Client-owned materials, client trademarks, licensed third-party materials, portfolio examples, and other third-party intellectual property remain subject to their respective ownership and licensing rights. Ownership and licensing of work created for a client are governed by the applicable project agreement, and the display of client work in The Queens Web's portfolio does not change the client's ownership rights.

11. Website Information, Availability, and Third-Party Links

The Queens Web makes reasonable efforts to keep information on this website accurate and current, but service descriptions, pricing, technologies, availability, and examples may change, and nothing here guarantees that a particular technology, price, feature, timeline, or service will be appropriate or available for every project.

This public website is provided on an "as available" basis, and The Queens Web does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The website may link to or integrate with services operated by third parties; The Queens Web does not control those third parties and is not responsible for their content, availability, pricing, security, or terms, and your use of a third-party service is subject to that provider's own terms and policies.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, The Queens Web will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising solely from use of, or inability to use, this public website. Liability relating to paid client projects, digital products, Website Care, Platform Care, or other contracted services is governed by the applicable project agreement or license.

13. Related Policies

Use of this website is also subject to The Queens Web Privacy Policy. Refunds and cancellations are addressed in the Refund & Cancellation Policy. Where project-specific terms in an accepted proposal, invoice, service agreement, or product terms are more specific, those terms control.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Unless a separate written agreement provides otherwise, disputes concerning use of this website will be handled in courts with appropriate jurisdiction in Illinois.

15. Severability and Changes

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. The Queens Web may update these Terms & Conditions as the website, services, technology, business practices, or legal requirements change, and the effective date at the top of this page will indicate the most recent revision.

16. Contact

Questions about these Terms & Conditions may be submitted through the contact page or by email at contact@thequeensweb.com.
